A beautiful wedding - Jayadeva and Nora Komar

Nora & Jayadeva On the 17th July we had a lovely wedding at Radhadesh – Jayadeva and Nora finally tied the knot! Around 40 guests attended the wedding with people coming from The Hague, Amsterdam, and Antwerp, and many devotees from the Radhadesh community.

Both families came for the day, including Jayadeva’s mother and father, Eva and Witold, and Nora’s mother, Alice. Jayadeva’s sister, Rukmini, was also able to come with her family. It was really lovely seeing them all again!

The program started at 11:00 with a reception, with the ceremony starting at 13:00. They took their time and had a leisurely meal at 16:00

It was a very lovely, auspicious, beautiful, well-arranged marriage. They both looked stunning and very happy. I am grateful to all the devotees who shared and helped making the wedding so sweet. Thank you! — Rukmini Devi Dasi

The bride and groom

Jayadeva Dasa was born in December 1977 in Breda, Holland. In December 1997 he went to Australia for a visit. After seven months he met some devotees who were out on harinam in Perth. They invited him to the local Sunday feast. He really liked it and decided to try out the Hare Krishna lifestyle. When he returned to Europe he spent some time living in Radhadesh and also went on book distribution with the travelling party of Hamsa Avatara Dasa. He is now back in Holland, this time in The Hague, where he works as an electrician.

Cutting the cake Nora was born in May 1983 in Nijmegen, Holland. In 1988 she moved with her mother to Aruba, a beautiful island in the southern Caribbean. She stayed there until 2003 when she moved back to Holland to study. In 2004 she moved to The Hague where she met an Aruban devotee called Bruce. He took her to the temple at Weimarstraat. Her first Krishna conscious book, Sri Isopanisad, was a great read, with every question that came up for her answered on the next page. It felt that she had finally found what she was looking for in life. She is interested in traditional Indian sciences and is currently taking a course in Vedic psychology from the Bhaktivedanta Academy, Italy.
