The purpose of this festival is to celebrate the appearance of Lord Krishna. Radhadesh celebrates this festival elaborately and thousands of visitors enjoy a vegetarian meal, traditional music, and dance. As part of the celebrations, to receive the special mercy of Lord Krishna, everyone has the opportunity to take part in a swinging festival where the temple’s small Radha-Krishna Deities are placed on a swing allowing devotees and guests to personally swing Them.
