Cultural festival of Krishna Janmashtami

Janmasthami, the birthday of Lord Krishna, is the most holy day for Krishna devotees and is celebrated in India by Hindus of all denominations. Temples celebrate the day with special worship and programs. Many pilgrims fast until midnight (the time of Lord Krishna's birth) and then honor a sumptuous feast.
