The listed special donors value the projects of Radhadesh. They consider it important that we continue with our activities. Our activities have touched their hearts and the hearts of their loved ones. Every month we publish your support.
Why join the donors: In the age of Kali (age of quarrels and hypocrisy), charity is the main virtue (Padma Purana, Parasara Smrti). The charity of food (by donors), or Prasadam seva, for the followers of Vishnu, not only relieves one from negative karma; but also makes one’s bhakti blossom freely. Bhakti is lasting and will follow the donor not only in this life but also in the next.
Charity given out of duty, without expectation of return, at the proper time and place, and to a worthy person is considered to be in the mode of goodness.(Bhagavad gita 17.20)
Srila Prabhupada says further: In the Vedic literature, charity given (by a donor) to a person engaged in spiritual activities is recommended. There is no recommendation for giving charity indiscriminately. Spiritual perfection is always a consideration (for donors). Therefore charity is recommended to be given at a place of pilgrimage and at lunar or solar eclipses or at the end of the month or to a qualified brāhmaṇa or a Vaiṣṇava (devotee) or in temples. Such charities should be given without any consideration of return. Charity (by donors) to the poor is sometimes given out of compassion, but if a poor man is not worth giving charity to, then there is no spiritual advancement. In other words, indiscriminate charity is not recommended in the Vedic literature.
